The latest version of the Azure Mobile Services library does not include WP8 support in the PCL. It only targets portable-win+net45. WP8 is an extra dll, meaning that I can not add the mobile services nuget package to my portable class lib that targets win 8.1 + wp8.
As such, the mobile services library is unfortunately rather pointless for our cross-platform use, if we need to have the library and its related code in platform specific projects; twice. I guess it would be better to write the HTTP code manually in the
PCL to minimize the effort, instead of going with platform specific libraries.
Can you please add WP8 to the portable class library as soon as possible and provide a timeline as to when that would be finished?
